1.  Global Job purpose

Focuses on customers and acts as the single source of contact for those customers across all BHC divisions and all processes. This position performs handling of export orders and logistics coordination within the West Central Africa region.

2.  Major tasks and responsibilities of position

  • To ensure all shipments are compliant with the various imports and export laws and regulations. This includes obtaining documents and certifications from and to customers
  • To gather forecast demands and order requirements from the customer.
  • to handle efficient customer services delivery of their specific process according to shipment standards, taking ownership of the solutions (general inquiries, explanation and guidance of standards and procedures)
  • To identify service delivery issues by proposing appropriate actions to resolve and generally improve customer service quality standards and metrics.
  • To develop and enhance relationships with key stakeholders, actively manage their expectations & monitor satisfaction levels to the customers internally and externally in the country/region.
  • To be responsible for the customer service performance metrics.
  • To provide a high level uniform approach to the way in which customer feedback is handled and resolved.
  • To deputize any BHC Customer Service personnel in all matters in their absence; reporting on daily business activities.
  • To offer support to the BU heads on product launches
  • To assist the head of COA with project related activities

4.  Skills, experience and qualifications


  • BA or equivalent degree or several years of experience in international logistics;
  • Strong understanding of  IT knowledge with advanced Excel. 


  • Experience in logistics and warehousing operations
  • Experience in local and international customers service
  • Must be a team player with good strong customer focus.
  • Strong communication and organizational skills
  • Sound knowledge of BHC supply and logistics processes. (Operational topics)
  • Ability to use BHC planning tool APO and Bay4S accurately.
  • Good presentation, outgoing personality with a pleasant, friendly and efficient manner
  • Punctuality and adherence to relevant reporting deadlines and procedures
  • Must be physically capable of carrying out the tasks allocated to this position
  • Strong change management and analytical skills with particular sensitivity to supply chain activities.
  • Working Knowledge of import and exports execution, monitoring and operational self –assessments;
  • Working knowledge in drafting procedures and implementations of such.
  • Detail oriented with a high degree of accuracy and ability to detect inconsistencies in data.
